Delightful Things for You.

You should immediately go read “Sola Fide” and “The New Cinema” by Joseph Chapman over at the Boston Review.

I first heard Joe read these poems at the Young Writers Workshop end-of-the-session banquet, & “Sola Fide” made me laugh uproariously in a room full of nicely dressed people who weren’t quite sure whether or not poetry was supposed to be laughed at. It’s pure joy & I love it. Mostly I just want you to read it because it’s the kind of poem that will make you want to be a poet. Then you’ll join an army of other people & you’ll all take up your writing implements & write more poems like this one & there will be more wonderful things like this for me to read.
