It’s more important to know whether there will be weather…

…then to know what the weather will be!

Unless it’s The Weather, in which case, stay home.

I just want to let all of y’all know that things are fine here, as Ike approaches; A. & I have stocked up with water, canned goods, candles, &ct., & now it’s just a matter of waiting.  Things here are looking windier & windier, & the cloud cover is absolutely white, but when the shitstorm rolls through, we’ll be ready to handle it.

I’ll update as often as I can, so as to not worry anyone too terribly.  & for those of you who’ve thought to call, thank you.  If I don’t answer my phone, it’ll probably be because 1. Towers are down or busy, 2. Our power is out & I’m conserving batteries, or 3. I just don’t like your ass.

I feel like I’m in that scene at the end of Armageddon or Deep Impact, one of those two identical movies, where everybody’s bracing for the big wave.

& here we go.

  • I kinda like that you mentioned a couple Hollywood blockbusters and then ended with the line Heath Ledger speaks in all the trailers for The Dark Knight: “And here…we…go!”

    Shelter from the storm!

  • yo mamma says:

phones ringin’ off the hook here at l.e.’s mamma central – looking forward to our on-the-spot reporter’s coverage…

  • Margie says:

We’re tracking you through this, rather than hassle your mamma. Glad you are safe and sound. We are looking at what got messed up down there on the news – but people seem to be okay.
    What a welcome to Houston!
